TRAINING
Dr. Pantaleo Romanelli completed his medical education at the University of Naples, Italy, where he graduated Magna cum Laude. He then pursued a residency in Child Neurology & Psychiatry at the University of Naples. Dr. Romanelli furthered his training in the United States, completing a PGY-I General Surgery internship at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, New York Medical College, followed by a Neurosurgery Fellowship at New York University. He then specialized in Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotactic Radiosurgery with fellowships at Stanford University.
PRACTICE
Dr. Romanelli has held numerous prestigious positions throughout his career. He served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Stanford University and as the Director of Functional Neurosurgery at Neuromed Pozzilli in Italy. He has also been a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the European Cyberknife Center in Munich and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Stony Brook University, New York. Currently, he is the Chief of Neurosurgery & Neuromodulation and the Co-Director of Stereotactic Radiosurgery at the Renaissance Institute of Precision Oncology & Neuromodulation.

He has been involved in cutting-edge research and clinical practice, focusing on the treatment of movement disorders, epilepsy, and chronic pain. His expertise includes the use of stereotactic radiosurgery, deep brain stimulation, and other minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques.

He has also been recognized with the Best Scientific Presenter award from the Radiosurgery Society and the Leksell-Lunsford Award from the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Evan Thomas completed his medical and engineering education at the University of Alabama, where he earned both an MD and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He completed his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he also pursued advanced fellowship training in radiosurgery. His training included specialization in treating complex brain and nervous system conditions, refining his expertise in non-invasive radiosurgery techniques. Prior to his medical career, Dr Thomas obtained a Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
PRACTICE
Dr. Thomas has held notable positions throughout his career, including his current roles as the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of the Renaissance Institute of Precision Oncology & Radiosurgery and as an Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at The James Comprehensive Cancer Center in Ohio. In his practice, Dr. Thomas leads pioneering treatments for brain tumors, movement disorders, and certain heart rhythm conditions using advanced stereotactic radiosurgery. He is also a frequent collaborator with Varian Medical Systems, the leading manufacturer of linear accelerator technology, whereby he helps develop technology to advance safe, efficient radiosurgery.

His expertise encompasses treating brain metastases, essential tremor, epilepsy, and other neurological conditions, and his work with clinical trials has helped set new standards for precision care in the field. Additionally, Dr. Thomas has contributed extensively to research, authoring over 150 publications that guide advancements in radiosurgical techniques and treatment planning.
